A Question of Etiquette

February 15th, 2008 · 1 Comment

You walk into the gym shower (for the sake of the question, picture the one at the Target Center Lifetime) and there is one guy in there in one of the corners.  Do you:

A) Go to opposite corner
B) Go to an adjacent wall
C) Go at least one showerhead away
D) Take up the spot right next to the one guy in there

Seriously, this is like an SAT question.  It’s quite shocking when someone chooses option D.  I didn’t even know what to say.  I must have tapped my foot the wrong way or something and not known it.  Really, right next to me?  Really???

Everyone knows the urinal rules, right? So shower rules should be pretty easy.

Dude, it depends on what the “one guy in one of the corners” is doing. Was the guy grilling up delicious bass? Because then I’d walk right over and bring my shorelunch. Or maybe the guy in the corner is, y’know, busy, and the guy walking in thought he could lend a hand. It’s friendly! It’s neighborly! It’s $5!
