Could a Team of All-Snubs Beat the All-Stars?

Wages of Wins has a great look at the players selected for the upcoming All-Star game this Sunday in Dallas.  As most fans know, the All-Stars are generally selected for their scoring.  Often, this can leave out many of the top players who contribute in other ways.  WoW looked at the top players in each conference in regards to the players selected to the All-Star game and those left behind.  In the Western Conference, they put together the following squad of Snubs:

  • Jason Kidd
  • Manu Ginobili
  • Lamar Odom
  • Kevin Love
  • Marcus Camby

  • Chauncey Billups
  • Kyle Lowry
  • Andrei Kirilenko
  • Carlos Boozer
  • DeJuan Blair
  • Corey Maggette
  • Chris Andersen

I don’t know if this team could beat the team that was selected, but I would love to watch that game.  Basketball stats are still lacking the acceptance that baseball gets, but I think the gap is quickly shrinking.  Do you think these Snubs could beat the Stars?

Well, I don’t know who made the All-Star team, but if there’s a Minnesota Timberwolf on the All-Snubs team, I don’t see how they could lose.
