Wolves get #3 pick

I was closely following the NBA Draft lottery last night.  On Monday, I bought a couple of season tickets for the upcoming season with the catch being that the ticket price was based on the Wolves lottery results.  The higher the pick, the cheaper the seats.  If they had won the #1 pick, the two season tickets would have been just $43 each.  Instead, they’re $129 each.   That’s for 43 games.  What a steal.  Even though the seats are in the nosebleed section of the Target Center, I know that I’ll be able to move down closer at pretty much every game since the Wolves aren’t exactly selling out every game.

Michael Beasley and Derrick Rose are the clear favorites for going #1 and 2 in the draft.  The third spot starts to get a little fuzzy.  A lot of mock drafts having the Timberpuppies taking Brook Lopez.  I like to think they have their eyes on OJ Mayo, if only because of all the other deals that McChump has made with his agent.  Whoever is on the court, we’re guaranteed some cheap entertainment.  Considering they will probably win about 30 games next year, it was probably the right price.
